Right, not kill me, tha's a bit severe, but she'll be right mad all th'same. [There's a fumble, Merida is toying with her journal and flipping pages, which makes a lot of noise in the background.]
Now, these wee little magic books, where'd they come from, hm? Anyone ever ask about that? I mean, they're just layin' right here in yer room and y'just trust th'place that much t'pick it up and wave it about! Meself included, I suppose. Where's th'magic comin' from?
[Her voice darkens, just a little.]
Y'shouldn't trust magic so blindly, ya hear? No one should. 'S dangerous, that. Y'never know what yer gonna get, regardless of what ye ask for.

I've always wanted to, like, go to Scotland and Ireland and, like, well... Most of the other 'lands', you know? Iceland and Greenland and England... Wait, was Riverdance Irish or Scottish... Well, there was music and dancing from both, at any rate, and it was wicked good!!
[She trails off when what Merida's said actually sinks in.]

I mean, I was, like, a cheerleader and all before I died, but that’s, like, hardly the same thing, so I know it’s probably silly to, like, even compare the two, and yet there I go, comparing the two!
[She falls silent when Merida tells her what year it is, her eyes widening as she balks.]
