Ach, ye got some rather disturbin’ methods here, Lord Deior. [There’s quite the sarcastic emphasis on the word ‘Lord’.] Last time I hopped a gate, I can truthfully tell ya that I didn’t have a bit a’issue asides a scratch or two.
[And she definitely didn’t DIE or lose her MEMORY or anything like that. Merida is still really shaken up about all that.]
Anyone up for a wee bit of huntin’? Got an itch to shoot me bow for a time.

And if he happens to be occasionally checking to see if he can catch her scent out in the forest, that doesn't mean anything. Just that it'd be more proof that she's being stupid, hunting out in the woods alone.]

The Keep is a bit creepy now that she's fully back, so the forest is...something like home more so than flickering candles and odd noises.
She's quiet and slips through the trees as silent as can be, except when her foot strikes a branch, and cracks it. Oops.]

She simply needed to get out and away from the creepiness of the Keep and the annoyingly taunting people that seem to think they're on the same level as her mum.
Or at least, that's how it seems to Merida. She's a little bratty okay.
